The City of Szczecin has introduced an innovative AI-powered tool for public consultations — a virtual survey assistant. Its goal was to collect residents’ opinions on the city’s new development strategy, “Szczecin 2035 – The Green Port of Opportunities.” This is the first project of its kind in Poland (and possibly one of the first in Europe) to apply artificial intelligence in civic engagement at the city level — where a conversational assistant guides participants through the survey in the form of an interactive dialogue.
